Use whatever you have on hand because it’s the food that will make the biggest impression.Gather Your Utensils – You will need a few small bowls, small forks and spoons for serving, and knives for cutting up fruit, cheeses, etc. You may even want to include a tiny syrup pitcher if waffles or pancakes will make an appearance.

Prep Uncooked Food Elements

Get Chopping – Chop or slice any fruit, veggies, meats, and cheeses that need to be cut up.Store Safely – If you do this ahead of time, store them separately in airtight containers in the fridge until it’s time to serve the breakfast board.

Assemble the Board

The Largest First – On a clean board, start laying out items beginning with the larger items first. Don’t worry if things don’t work out exactly as you imagined.Dips – Put dips and smaller items in small bowls or cups and place them around the board.The Small Stuff – Fill in the nooks and crannies with smaller items like fruits, snacks, bread, or whatever else floats your boat.Serve – Remember, there is only one rule when creating charcuterie boards: Make it work for you and your guests. Thaw baked goods in the refrigerator the night before you plan to put your charcuterie board together. Give them a warm-up in your toaster oven for a few minutes before serving if need be. You can cut up fruits, meats, and veggies a day or two before serving too. Just store them in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve. You can also cook boiled eggs, bacon, and breakfast sausage the day before and store those in the fridge. Reheat the meats in the microwave or toaster oven. If you’re including scrambled or fried eggs, cook those the day of.

Place your charcuterie breakfast board on the table and watch your guests come running! Any leftovers should be stored in airtight containers, separately, in the fridge for 3-5 days or maybe longer, depending on what ingredients they include.

What to Serve With a Breakfast Charcuterie Board

Make sure you have plenty of hot coffee and tea with your breakfast charcuterie board. You could also make specialty drinks like pumpkin spice lattes or chai tea lattes. I also love to serve a few refreshing juice options too. My favorites are mango juice, Jamaican carrot juice, and homemade pineapple juice. 🍹
