Ingredients You Need
For the Broiled Salmon Recipe you just need wild-caught salmon, olive oil (or your preferred high-heat cooking oil), plus salt and pepper. To make the vibrant Garlic Herb Butter you need only 5 ingredients:
Butter – melted Lemon juice – fresh squeezed Fresh parsley – chopped Fresh dill – chopped Garlic – minced
How To Broil Salmon in the Oven
First, turn the oven on to broil and set the top rack so that it’s about 6 inches from the top of the oven. Prepare the salmon by cutting into 6 large or 8 small equal portions. Place onto a rimmed baking sheet, and gently pat the tops of each filet with a towel to remove any moisture. Use a pastry brush to lightly coat each filet with oil, and sprinkle generously with salt and pepper. Broil the salmon for 5 to 8 minutes, until lightly golden around the edges of each filet. It’s definitely better to slightly undercook than overcook the fish!
How to Make Garlic Herb Butter for Broiled Salmon

Recipe Variations
We love the bright flavors from using chopped parsley and dill. However, you can definitely change up the seasonings to suite your tastes! Swap the parsley and dill with fresh lemongrass, rosemary, tarragon, or even lemon zest. You can also use dried herbs and seasoning blends, like lemon pepper seasoning, in place of fresh herbs.
