I remembered when I first introduced this pizza flavor to my husband, he’s even unsure if he’ll give it a try. He thought it’s very unusual, and it was his first time hearing about Chicken Alfredo in Pizza. But I guess, aside from marrying me, it was one of the best decisions he made! Hah! How can I say so? Now, whenever we plan to have a pizza night or even attempt to order one, he insists on making the “white chicken pizza” as he calls it. And who I am to say no? This white pizza spells nothing but comfort food!

What is Chicken Alfredo Pizza?

Chicken Alfredo Pizza is basically a Chicken Alfredo on top of pizza dough. However, we won’t use the same sauce you’d put on your pasta. Instead, you need to prepare this simple, yet delicious White Pizza Sauce HERE.

Recipe Ingredients and Variations

My Chicken Alfredo Pizza is so simple that you can make it with just 6 simple ingredients:

Pizza dough   Alfredo Sauce   Mozzarella cheese    Bell pepper      Chicken breast    Fresh basil leaves

I really want my alfredo pizza as simple as possible to prevent the toppings from overpowering the white sauce. You can follow my desired toppings, or you can choose your own. Also, check these other variations:

Pizza dough can either be homemade (check my Homemade Pizza Dough HERE) or store-bought. You can use ready to bake doughs, canned, gluten-free, whole wheat, or whatever you like.

Alfredo sauce can also be store-bought. But you can give my White Pizza Sauce a try. Just keep some of it on an air-tight container for a quick pizza sauce.

Alfredo Pizza Toppings

One thing I love about this pizza is the variety of toppings you can make depending on your preference. You can use

leftover roasted chicken (or leftover Thanksgiving turkey) bacon slices cooked ground beef or pork pepperoni ham Swiss cheese or Parmesan cheese baby spinach mushroom fresh parsley, or green onions

The possibilities are endless! You choose!

Make-Ahead and Freezing Instructions

Don’t have much time, but want to have a slice or two of pizza anytime? Why not make some ahead of time and bake it whenever needed?    If you are making from a homemade dough or canned dough, roll out the dough to a size that will fit your freezer bag, then partially bake it to ensure crispiness, and prevent it from becoming soggy.   Add the topping, place them on a baking sheet, and freeze for an hour or until the sauce and toppings are frozen. Then wrap each pizza with parchment paper (or plastic wrap/foil). You can secure the pizzas using a rubber band. Slide the wrapped pizza(s) into a freezer-safe bag or large container, and freeze for later.

How to Make Chicken Alfredo Pizza

Using either your hands or a rolling pin to work the dough into a 14″ circle.  Line a pizza pan with parchment paper and transfer dough to the pan.  Either pinch the edges or fold them over to form a crust.  Use a fork to poke holes all over the center of the pizza to keep the dough from bubbling up in the oven. Prebake for about 10 minutes. Then remove and let it cool.   Top with white sauce, followed by cooked chicken, bell pepper mozzarella, basil, and any desired toppings.  Bake at 450° F  for 15-18 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.  Let it cool slightly and serve and slice.           Nutrition Facts Chicken Alfredo Pizza Amount Per Serving Calories 265 Calories from Fat 72 % Daily Value* Fat 8g12%Saturated Fat 4g25%Cholesterol 46mg15%Sodium 568mg25%Potassium 137mg4%Carbohydrates 28g9%Fiber 1g4%Sugar 4g4%Protein 20g40% Vitamin A 615IU12%Vitamin C 19mg23%Calcium 111mg11%Iron 2mg11% * Percent Daily Values are based on a 2000 calorie diet.
