Summer is here and it’s time to party! Throwing outdoor neighborhood shindigs is one of my favorite aspects of summer. The last couple years we’ve hosted a Caribbean-themed block party with fruity cocktails, tons of island-inspired dishes, and reggae music. It’s our way to celebrate the end of the school year and kick off the season of sunshine. One thing we’ve learned by hosting numerous parties over the years, is that it’s best to mix our beverages in large batches, ahead of time. Our goombay drink is based on the famous Miss Emily’s Goombay Smash where this drink got famous first. Just close your eyes, take a sip, and imagine the palm trees!
