Why We Love Mango Con Chile
Some of these recipe concepts are so good, that they have no boundaries and are shared across cultures, borders, and even oceans. This little snack is something I’ve eaten on the streets of many countries with tropical climates. Whether in Central America or Southeast Asia, spicy fruit is a beloved treat. In Mexico, whole mangoes are commonly served on a stick with lime juice and chile powder. In several South American and Asian countries, mangoes, ripe papayas, and even unripe green papayas are served sliced with a spicy sprinkle over the top. Here I’ve combined the best of both continents for a snack that can satisfy any craving… sweet, salty, or spicy. And it’s so easy to make too! All you need are fresh mangoes and papayas, and a handful of pantry ingredients and you’ll be able to whip up this tasty treat in no time.
Ingredients You Need
