Rose Sangria
Sangria happens to be high on my list of favorites things to sip. This isn’t the first sangria recipe I’ve shared with you, and I’m sure it won’t be the last. However, I do feel it’s a special sangria recipe and worth trying at your earliest convenience.
What is Sangria made of?
Unlike classic sangria made with dark Spanish wine and orange juice, this Rose (Rosé) Sangria Recipe is lighter, with a tangy-sweet finish.
Sangria Recipe Ingredients
And just look at the color! So what’s in it? So glad you asked…
French Rosé Wine – A crisp wine with a light citrus-floral quality. Pink Grapefruit Juice – For its pink color and delicate acidity. Bourbon – This adds some sweetness but also depth, with notes of caramel and vanilla. (P.S. Bourbon and grapefruit juice are meant to be.)
Honey – This adds some sweetness and balances out the twang. Chambord – For a bright berry flavor. Watermelon Balls, Strawberries and Raspberries – Fruity pink things are added to the mix to absorb all that boozy goodness.
How To Make Sangria
This rose sangria recipe is a little bolder than traditional sangria, however, you will not believe the depth and intrigue it provides.
Soaking the Fruit
Fresh watermelon, strawberries, and raspberries soak in the Rosé Sangria Recipe until the base is sweet, and the fruit is fully loaded. Then stir and sip. Once you reach the bottom of the glass, a little gift is waiting for you… Irresistible boozy watermelon and berries to nibble one at a time.
Make This Sangria Recipe Ahead Of Time
This is a wonderful recipe to make ahead of time. That’s because it requires the fruit to soak in the liquid for at least two hours. The longer it soaks the boozier the fruit gets. So you can soak them for a couple more hours or even overnight! In fact, Sangria can last in the fridge for up to three days. Be careful though because the fruit could start to go bad. So remember to make sure to use fresh fruit!

Sangria Substitutions
If grapefruit juice isn’t your thing, orange juice would be the next best option. What you’re looking for here is the acidity that grapefruit brings to the mix of liquids. You might not get that perfect pink color but it’s still going to taste great!
Sangria is Perfect for Summer
This cool and refreshing drink is perfect for summer. Serve this at get-togethers or at a girls night. Plus strawberries, raspberries, and watermelon are all in season during the summer. So getting fresh fruit is easier than ever. Looking for kid-friendly drinks for this summers BBQ’s? Try our kid and adult friendly Gummy Bears Popsicles or our Frozen Pineapple Lemonade.
