How Do You Defrost Pork Chops Quickly?
Nothing is more annoying when it’s time to cook for dinner than discovering you completely forgot to take out the frozen meat out of the freezer. Agree? I’m sure we all could relate to this. So below are few of the ways that you can easily do to quickly defrost your pork chops (or meat in general): Note: Small packages of frozen meat would defrost about an hour or less while larger ones would take approximately 30 minutes of defrosting time per pound. 3. Unwrap the frozen chops and place in a bowl with lukewarm water (roughly at 105°F ). Then place it in the sink under a rapidly dripping faucet and leave the meat under the water until it has completely thawed (about 20 minutes for smaller cuts). Can I Cook Frozen Pork Chops without Thawing?
If you think all of those methods above won’t work on your way, you may cook the pork chops without thawing, HOWEVER, it will take about 50% longer or more to cook them in a frozen state.
How Long to Cook Pork Chops in Slow Cooker?
For 3/4 to an inch bone in or out pork chops, cook them in the slow cooker on LOW for 7-8 hours or 3-4 hours on HIGH setting.
How to Cook Pork Chops in Slow Cooker
Cooking pork chops in the slow cooker is super easy! Honestly, this is perfect during lazy days or when you’re preparing something else other than this main dish. You just have to prepare to prepare the gravy, pour it into the chops and let the slow cooker do the rest for you. So once you get home, dinner is already waiting to be served. If you’re not a fan of mushrooms, feel free to skip them and your favorite veggies. These are definitely one of the best pork chops you’ll have in your entire life!

How To Make Slow Cooker Pork Chops
Season pork chops generously with salt, pepper and Creole seasoning. Preheat 2 tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat in a cast iron or heavy Dutch pan, brown pork for about 3 minutes on each side. When ready, transfer pork into the slow cooker. Preheat the remaining oil in the cast iron pan, add in onion, garlic and thyme. Sauté until onions is transparent and fragrant, for about 3-5 minutes. Next add in mushroom, Dijon mustard and Italian seasoning. Sauté for another 3 minutes. Pour in water and heavy cream, bring to a boil and simmer for about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer sauce to pork in the slow cooker and cook for about 7-8 hours on low OR 3-4 hours on high until the pork is tender. Just before the pork chop is done, (about 30 minutes to the time), whisk together flour and ¼ cup of water until it is smooth in a small bowl. Pour the flour mixture with the pork chop in the slow cooker and stir gently. Cook until gravy has thickened. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes or noodles and some veggies.
